Wigs & Accessories
Recognizing the importance of personal appearance and body image in the recovery process of women with cancer, the American Cancer Society, Patient & Family Service Department, and Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center have developed and sponsored this program for you. Join us for information on how to select a wig, how to care for your wig, and how to style scarves. Free new wigs, a wig kit, and seasonal hats are available to women who are in need and do not have insurance coverage. Pre-registration is required. Hunterdon-Mercer Chronic Disease Coalition
Cancer survivors and their caregivers face physical, emotional, psychosocial, spiritual, and financial challenges as a result of diagnosis and treatment. Programs through the Coalition address the needs of survivors and caregivers such as:
Educational sessions addressing topics such as nutrition, stress management, and physical activity help survivors and caregivers maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Cancer Thriving & Surviving Workshops offered several times throughout the year, offer a comprehensive 6-week curriculum to help develop skills for self-management of chronic conditions.
Continued support post-treatment to connect patients to services.
Cancer Support Community
