The Hunterdon Health Auxiliary is proud to have donated over $45,000 to Hunterdon Behavioral Health over the past two years at their annual event, Sapphires & Sequins. These funds were gathered through event sponsorships, raffles, and donations prior to and during this night out for women in the community. Members of the Auxiliary had the opportunity to see how the funds were utilized to improve the Day Hospital during a recent visit to the Louise Leicester Center located within Hunterdon Behavioral Health.
Hunterdon Behavioral Health provides high-quality, comprehensive mental health and addiction services. They diagnose, treat, and care for adolescents and adults with mental illness, emotional difficulties, or addiction. Their expert clinical staff is highly trained in treating individuals in need of psychiatric and psychological support or addiction treatment. Counseling for families in crisis, therapy, medication monitoring, and support for those struggling with addiction are just a few of the incredible ways Hunterdon Behavioral Health aids our community.
Sapphires & Sequins is the Auxiliary's signature "Girls' Night Out" event. The evening encompasses a VIP experience, shopping, a live auction, raffles, a fashion show, fine food and drinks. Each year, the beneficiaries will be determined by a vote of Auxiliary membership, with input on areas of greatest need from the Hunterdon Health Foundation. Next year's Sapphires & Sequins event will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2024.
