Meditation in Motion: Finding the Yoga in Your Yoga Class

John Feddersen has been practicing Yoga for nearly 20 years and instructing since 2003. Yet anyone who has attended a class presented by John, would suggest that it wasn’t a normal Yoga class. “I’m not teaching just the Yoga poses, rather helping students remember and articulate their own natural mobility.” Because of this, John would say, “Flexibility is relative here; in fact it is more important that you come to class with a flexible mind over body!”
A Yoga class with John is more of an experience than an exercise class, although you will feel that the class took effort. “The body likes to be challenged, but not forced.” Here the expression “no pain, no gain” is transformed into “no gain, without mild discomfort!” Finally, you will also get a good dose of Yogic philosophy, “because understanding Yoga leads to a greater understanding of one’s self.”
