Mental Wellness Partnership Program
About the Program
The Mental Wellness Partnership Program, created through the generous donation of Maggie and Peter Baumann, integrates the holistic practices of fitness and nutrition into the care of behavioral health patients. This initiative supports the growing research that overwhelmingly confirms the importance of an interconnected physical and mental health care plan.
Participants of this program are provided fitness and nutrition services under the guidance of certified professionals. The providers consist of a Behavioral Health Outpatient Director, Wellness Coordinator, Behavior Change Specialists, Wellness Coaches, Registered Dietitians, Exercise Physiologist, and Certified Personal Trainers.
This program is a collaboration across Hunterdon Health and Wellness Centers, Center for Nutrition and Diabetes Management, Hunterdon Behavioral Health, and community partners.
Individual and personalized fitness and nutrition coaching sessions
Activities and tools to empower participants to achieve their personal wellness goals
A multidisciplinary team to support participants in their wellness journey
Wellness workshops/events that provide educational and motivational support
The Mental Wellness Partnership Program is currently supporting young adults (18+) to older adult populations. Individuals are referred to the program through Hunterdon Behavioral Health based on the specific stage of their therapy that ensures they achieve optimal benefit.
"Cultivating positive mindsets and adopting healthy routines daily lays the foundation for long-term mental and physical wellness"
