The PGY-1 pharmacy residency program at Hunterdon Medical Center is establishes a foundation of clinical practice that can be applied in various professional settings. Upon completion of this program, the resident will be prepared to enter a PGY-2 residency, adjunct faculty position, or a clinical general practice position in either an academic or community health system.
The resident will accept responsibility for patient safety and optimal patient outcomes and be accountable for all aspects of the medication use process.
Residents will exhibit a commitment to the profession and display professional maturity and leadership as they develop written and verbal communication skills and serve as an effective interdisciplinary team member and educator.
The PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program is a 12-month program, beginning in July and will encompass a variety of rotations including concentrated, extended and longitudinal experiences.

The residency program requires that residency candidates participate with PhORCAS™ and National Matching Service for the application process.

Upon review of application materials, an onsite interview will be extended to candidates. All candidates must be enrolled with National Matching Service. If accepted, the resident must obtain New Jersey pharmacist licensure within 90 days of hire.
