Hunterdon Helpline began 50 years ago as a teen hotline, answering calls from teens about any subject or need and providing them the connection to appropriate programs and services. Over these four decades, Helpline has evolved to where it is today: a 24-hour helpline answering the needs of at-risk populations trying to navigate the system and find answers to their life challenges.
In addition to First Assist, the umbrella division of Helpline that answers a client’s first call, Helpline has a variety of programs and services to assist with emergency needs and family, health and employment needs. Partnering with other organizations in the county, Helpline links clients to their programs and services when appropriate after assessing the client through the intake process.

Started in Hunterdon County in the spring of 2003, this program serves to promote and develop different sports for children in our community who are physically or developmentally disabled. Currently, our programs include soccer, basketball, baseball, and tennis. Our program is designed to grow and adapt to the needs of the children and to promote the growth of the program in the community at large. Our program introduces these children to sports who are not normally recruited due to their disabilities. All the programs that we conduct are free to the participating athletes. Each program brings volunteers, athletes, and their parents together in a fun and caring environment.

Therapeutic Riding At Centenary (TRAC) is a PATH International – Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (NARHA) premier accredited center serving North and Central New Jersey.
TRAC is housed at the Centenary Equestrian Center, Califon Road, Long Valley on Schooley’s Mountain. The center serves children and adults with a variety of disabilities from the surrounding area. It also offers volunteer opportunities to local high school students and others interested in assisting riders with disabilities.
