Hunterdon Health is pleased to announce that Kristy Alfano MSN, RN, NE-BC, has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Hunterdon Health. Kristy will be responsible for operational leadership and directly manage operations at Hunterdon Medical Center. In this role she will work to ensure sound clinical operations across the system to improve access, quality, safety, and engagement.
Kristy's portfolio of experiences began at Hunterdon Health in 2000 as a nurse on 5 North, a medical surgical unit at Hunterdon Medical Center. She grew her career within the organization and has been an Administrative Nursing Supervisor, Assistant Nurse Manager, Director of Intermediate Care Unit, Director of Patient Care Experience and Director of the Emergency Department and Inpatient Behavioral Health. She left Hunterdon Health from 2016-2020 and served as Director of Nursing, Surgical Services, Emergency Services and Maternal Health for United Health Services in Johnson City, New York. Kristy returned to Hunterdon Health in 2020 as the Assistant Vice President of Clinical Operations.
Kristy holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Phoenix and a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on healthcare systems management from Loyola University in New Orleans, LA. In addition, she also completed a fellowship through the Advisory Board focused on healthcare.

Kristy was born at Hunterdon Medical Center and raised in Hunterdon County. She and her family reside in Bethlehem Township, New Jersey.
