September 19, 2023
We are pleased to announce our September 2023 Employee of the Month is Sarah Morano, MSW, LSW, Therapist with Hunterdon Behavioral Health’s Acute Partial Hospital.
Here are a few highlights from Sarah’s nominations:
Sarah demonstrates excellent work ethic, motivation and teamwork in team meetings. She holds herself to high standards of accountability both on a personal level as well as a programmatic level. She consistently takes ownership of program assignments related to her specialty and often reaches out to make sure work outside her realm of responsibility is completed.
Sarah is truly committed to her work, always going beyond what is required, staying late, coming in early, and volunteering to help out without being asked.
Sarah has gone above and beyond to link patients with necessary services. She provides resources to not only her assigned patients but will look up and share resources with other therapists' patients, as well as the team. She helps to streamline paperwork and create user-friendly documents for the team to utilize.
Sarah shows respect and empathy to our patients and offers assistance to coworkers when they are busy or overwhelmed.
Sarah is adaptive and able to change course depending on the census and acuity of the unit. She has been with the program through various phases including in-person to remote/virtual group therapy and back and forth between the two as program needs and requirements changed. She is always ready and willing to switch gears and move in a different direction if that is what is indicated by the patients or our department.
Sarah is compassionate and able to voice thoughts in meaningful and caring ways. She shares thoughts and seeks others' thoughts on care plans and effective ways to interact with clients.
She is a genuine person both with colleagues and patients alike. Sarah maintains this authenticity while also upholding healthy, professional boundaries with patients and staff.
