Hunterdon Health December Employee of the Month - Eric Wittmann
December 7, 2023
We are pleased to announce our December 2023 Employee of the Month is…Eric Wittmann, Interventional Technologist, Medical Imaging Department.
Here are a few highlights from Eric’s nominations:
Eric works in two departments simultaneously. He is an Interventional Radiology tech but he also helps out in X-ray. Eric is a workhorse and is very wise so it helps having him around so we can ask him questions and learn new ways of getting the job done. He is on call half of the year and will come in super early at times and stay his full shift on top of that and somehow still has a good relationship with his wife. The best thing about Eric is that all of us in X-ray strive to be more like him, which is one of the main factors in why our department is doing so well.
Eric meets all six of the organization’s core values. He is very accountable; accepts responsibility and is always a reliable person to go to with anything. He is adaptive; when something doesn’t go according to plan or schedule he can jump in with no problem and get it done. Eric is authentic; he is someone who shows his true self and is honest with himself and others. He is kind and considerate. He is inclusive; he doesn’t ignore anyone and gets everyone involved. He is friendly to everyone and makes everyone feel welcome. Eric is committed; he loves his job, co-workers, and department. He always shows up and gets the job done without ever complaining. He takes pride in his work and takes his job seriously. He is empowered; he is focused and committed to his goals. He displays confidence in his ability to perform his job. He is a role model to us all.
Eric is the most helpful and dedicated member of our team. On top of his busy schedule in IR, he continues to help out the X-ray department while we transition with our new team members. Eric always shows compassion for his patients and always makes time for explanations. On top of his busy schedule, he is a clinical instructor for the X-ray program out of Mercer County College and helps train our future techs.
As one of the people who is tasked with teaching the students, Eric is always very calm and supportive especially when English is a second language for the student.
However chaotic his work day is, Eric has an incredible ability to maintain a great bedside manner as well as maintain his easy-going positivity with his co-workers.
As an employee of 24 years, Eric knows everything like the back of his hand and is empowering to those around him. His authenticity is amazing. He is always there to tell you about his own mistakes when someone else makes one and is able to do so in a humorous way. Eric is the best part of working for HMC and deserves to be recognized.
