With an undergraduate degree in nursing and extensive experience in home health, oncology, and case management, Heidi Grumbridge has always been deeply committed to understanding and addressing all aspects of a patient's health and well-being. Inspired by her years caring for patients with complex and chronic conditions, she developed a deep appreciation for the intricacies of end-of-life care and the importance of aligning treatment with each patient’s personal goals and values.
During her time as a Home Health Nurse Manager, Heidi saw firsthand the impact of compassionate, patient-centered care and the vital role of palliative involvement in improving quality of life. This led her to pursue advanced practice nursing, earning her Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification and deciding to specialize in Palliative Care at Hunterdon Health. With a background in both acute and home-based care, she understands the nuances of symptom management, emotional support, and collaborative decision-making in serious illness.
As a palliative care provider, Heidi is dedicated to advocating for her patients, helping them identify what is most important to them, and working to ensure their care aligns with their goals and values. She believes in a holistic approach, providing not only medical support but also emotional and psychosocial guidance for patients and their families during critical moments in their healthcare journey.
