Dr. Soffen served on the faculty of the University of Pennsylvania and at Fox Chase Cancer Center. He is currently on the faculty of Rutgers University Medical School.

Awards and Honors
- Dr. Soffen is a member of the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, the American College of Radiology, the Radiology Society of New Jersey, the Mercer County Medical Society, and the American Medical Association. He is a Board Member of the Oncology Society of New Jersey and the Breast Cancer Resource Center. Dr. Soffen has been awarded the New Jersey "Best Doctor" Award in Radiation Oncology every year since 1998 and in 2019 he was named a "Top Doctor" by Jersey's Best magazine and Castle Connolly as a leader in Radiation Oncology.
