Dr. Ashmi A. Philips obtained her PharmD from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. She then completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Saint Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey. Dr. Philips is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administration, Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Her practice site is at Hunterdon Medical Center where she is the Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator and the Director of the PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency Program. She currently serves as the Critical Care Preceptor for the PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency and the PGY-2 Pharmacotherapy Residency Programs. Dr. Philips is a practicing HIV pharmacist (AAHIVP) through the American Academy of HIV Medicine. She is an active member of professional and state pharmacy organizations including, American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, American College of Clinical Pharmacy and New Jersey Society of Health-System Pharmacists where she has served as a chapter officer.
